Prior to the Sea to Sky Gondola and GroundEffects, Trevor Dunn’s background was in the financing and operational aspects of real estate development. This experience provided in depth knowledge into understanding why it’s critical for community and resort developments to have an ongoing life, and how to go about ensuring that they do. Trevor worked with Intrawest Corporation for seven years, most recently acting as Vice President of Development. During that time, he was responsible for delivering the Westin Imagine Orlando, a $130-Million, 315-room condominium hotel, and was also responsible for asset divestitures that included commercial assets, land, and business entities. His primary focus has been in three key areas;
- Operational planning during pre-development to ensure that all appropriate businesses are factored into the plan;
- Financial and legal structuring to ensure that the operational spaces meet feasible capital returns in the proper legal structure;
- Post-development integration with all of the stakeholders to ensure the operational businesses are successful from the beginning.
By working through this process at Intrawest, Trevor developed key relationships with all major hotel brands, premium commercial tenants, mixed-use-focused legal teams, and operationally focused financing sources.
