SQUAMISH, BC September 20, 2022 - With its crisp, cool temperatures, crimson and golden foliage, not to mention fewer crowds, fall is one of the best times of year to hike in the great outdoors and explore all that BC has to offer. Whether you are a new, intermediate, or seasoned hiker, Sea to Sky Gondola and its accessible hiking trails, showcase some of the most stunning scenery in the world. From the spectacular array of fall colours to unobstructed views of Howe Sound, the Pacific Ocean, and majestic mountain peaks of the Alpine, this attraction is a must-see, must-do experience this season. With the addition of interpretive walking tours, the Sky Pilot suspension bridge, cantilevered viewing platforms, and local eats at the Summit Lodge, the Sea to Sky Gondola will soon become your favourite hiking destination.

“Autumn is a unique time of year on the summit, and we are excited to welcome visitors of all ages to enjoy the best of the season with us,” says Christy Allan, Director, Sales, Marketing & Guest Services, Sea to Sky Gondola. “We’re always looking for new ways to provide locals with the opportunities to get out in nature, be active, and take in the beauty of BC, right in their own backyard.”

To kick off the fall season, Sea to Sky Gondola, in partnership with Helly Hansen, has launched its weekend morning Rise + Climb challenge - a 6.5 kilometre hike up the popular Sea to Summit Trail. From now until October 30th, on Saturdays and Sundays, hikers can crush their fitness goals, get social, enjoy nature during the fall months, and even get the chance to win some amazing prizes. To qualify, participants must hike from the base of the gondola to the summit and arrive by 12 pm. Once at the top, they will receive a complimentary coffee and participation recognition that will be entered into a draw to win prizing from Helly Hansen, Ryders Eyewear, Soave Coffee, tentree, and the Sea to Sky Gondola. The more they hike, the better their chances to win.

Sea to Sky Gondola offers a wide variety of internationally recognized hiking/walking trails to experience. Some of the most popular walks/hikes include: Panorama Trail, Spirit Trail, Wonderland Lake Loop, and Alpine Alley, to name a few. Before heading out on the backcountry trails, further afield yet accessible by the Sea to Sky Gondola this fall season, make sure to download the convenient Trail Map App.
