Meet the Sea to Sky Gondola

05 December, 2013

One of Canada’s most anticipated attractions – the Sea to Sky Gondola – opens on May 16, 2014. Perched 885 metres above the Howe Sound Fjord on a bluff between Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, the Gondola has just launched an Annual Pass.

A limited number of passes will be available over a limited time period. The Pass will give individuals and families unlimited access to the sightseeing lift and the diversity of seasonal activities it will enable.

For $99, individuals will be able to access the Sea to Sky Gondola as often as they want. Families of four can purchase the Sea to Sky Gondola Annual Pass for $249.

Visitors of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy this fantastic new facility. The 10 minute Gondola ride will transport visitors to adventures starting at the Summit Lodge, a 9,000 square foot Douglas Fir building housing the Summit Restaurant, Ledge Bar, Summit Tea House and Summit retail shop. It will become the ultimate destination to rendezvous for a meal or coffee overlooking Howe Sound fiord and coastal alpine vistas.

Explorers of all kinds will be able to walk two interpretative trails, the Spirit Trail (400 meters) and the Panorama Trail (1.6 km), and hike or run six designated hiking trails, including the “grind style” Sea to Summit Trail (6 km one way). A ‘must do’ will be the walk across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge (100 meters) to take in views from The Summit Lodge viewing deck, The Chief Overlook and The Spirit viewing platform. Furthermore, visitors will be able to access world-class rock climbing, ski touring, snowshoeing and mountaineering terrain...
