Parking and Transportation Update

19 March, 2024

Hey there, Sea to Sky adventurers! If you're planning a trip to Sea to Sky Gondola, we've got some important information for you about parking. Starting May 1, we will be implementing pay parking through the Pay by Phone app. But don't worry, we've got all the details to make your next visit as easy as possible.

Why Paid Parking?
First things first, why paid parking? Currently, during the peak season when parking is limited, our lot is being used by visitors who use our parking lot to access trails to Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief Provincial Parks. Our goal is to give our guests priority access to the prime and limited parking spaces at the base of Sea to Sky Gondola.

Passholders
If you are a Passholder, complimentary parking is included with your Annual Pass. Simply visit Guest Services to pick up your parking pass. Parking passes are valid for the duration of your membership. Another great reason to purchase an Annual Pass this year!

How Does it Work?
So, how does it work? When you arrive at the Sea to Sky Gondola, you'll find designated parking areas. Simply park your car, follow the directions on the Pay by Phone signage and pay for your parking using the Pay by Phone app on your phone.

Cost and Hours of Operation
Now, let's talk about details. The cost of parking is $8 for a half day and $10 for a full day and parking is available between 7 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Thursday and 7 AM - 7 PM, Friday to Sunday.

Alternative Transportation
Now, we know what you're thinking – paying for parking might not be the most exciting part of your Sea to Sky Gondola adventure. If you are looking for alternative modes of transportation to avoid parking, we have multiple options for you! For our non-passholder local visitors, Squamish Transit will be resuming the “South Parks” route including the gondola on June 15 and will be running throughout the summer. Car sharing is also a great way to split the cost.

For guests travelling from the Lower Mainland, the Squamish Connector offers a convenient shuttle service from downtown Vancouver to the gondola base. There are also a variety of tour operators that include the Sea to Sky Gondola in their itineraries including Westcoast Sightseeing, Land Sea tours and others.

Elevating Your Experience
Still hesitant on paid parking? Don't worry, the team at Sea to Sky Gondola is going to do everything they can to make this transition as seamless as possible. Plus, by supporting the Sea to Sky Gondola through paid parking, you're helping to ensure that this amazing destination remains accessible and enjoyable for years to come.

So, next time you're planning a trip to the Sea to Sky Gondola, don't forget to factor in the cost of parking. With a little bit of planning and preparation, you'll be all set to soak in the stunning views and create memories that will last a lifetime. Happy exploring!
