Sea to Sky Gondola adds Google Maps Business View
04 June, 2014
For those who haven’t visited yet, there are questions on what will actually be waiting for them when they step off the gondola for their first time. To help potential guests better understand the wide range of activities available at the Sea to Sky Gondola, the company increased their online presence with the new Google Maps Business View.
The online tour, which was created by photographer Jody Wall, of Views4Business.com a Google Trusted Agency, will allow potential guests to see all of the amenities offered by the Sea to Sky Gondola before planning their trip. The tour will start at the gondola’s Basecamp, which includes a café, retail shop, children’s play area, and a guest services desk. To save some excitement for the “real thing”, the tour will not include any images from the10-minute gondola ride itself.
Once at the Summit, the tour will take you through the 9,000 square foot Summit Lodge (with a teahouse, restaurant, bar, and retail space inside) to the Summit Viewing Deck, giving online viewers a sneak peek of one of the best views in British Columbia! The tour will then continue over the 100 metre long Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge to the First Nations themed Spirit walking trail and viewing platform. From here, the tour will lead to the Summit Plaza, which is the access point for the remainder of the trails that the Sea to Sky Gondola offers. The tour finishes by returning to the Summit station where guests will download after their visit to the top.
While the Google tour helps viewers get a better understanding of the adventures that await them at the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola, there are a number of activities that can be enjoyed which are not covered in the tour. Some of the activities that are not shown in the tour include: rock climbing, hiking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing.
Day tickets for the Sea to Sky Gondola are $34.95 for Adults, $32.95 for Seniors, $22.95 for Youth aged 13-18, and $13.95 for Children aged 6-12. Summer season passes are also on sale which cost $99 for an adult pass and $249 for a family pass (valid for two adults and two children).
