SQUAMISH, BC November 20, 2017 – The Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish will open for the winter season on Friday, November 24, 2017. Snow at the summit and the launch of a magical line-up of experiences during the Spirit of Christmas events schedule make it easy to celebrate the season in Squamish.

All through the Spirit of Christmas, Sea to Sky Gondola guests will be able to walk in a winter wonderland on a trail festively decorated for the Christmas Forest Walk. The whimsically decorated and lit trail leads guests back to the Summit Lodge to warm up with a hot chocolate.

Other snow play activities offered at the summit include snowshoeing and winter walking, snowtubing, headlamp hikes departing at 4:30 p.m., and a decadent holiday fondue that is perfect to share with friends and family to wrap up a day of spirited adventure in the alpine.

Of course, the holiday season wouldn’t be complete without Santa! The Sea to Sky Gondola will have the jolly old elf at the beautifully decorated Summit Lodge for pancakes and pictures with Santa Claus on Friday, December 1, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Saturday, December 2, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; and Sunday, December 3, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Before and after the photo kids can enjoy festive activities including writing postcards to Santa and creating magical reindeer treats.
