Trail Spotlight: Highline Trail
27 September, 2018
The Highline Trail begins on the Backcountry Access Road, just past the beginning of Al's Habrich Trail. After a short climb you emerge from the forest onto a ridge.
Looking back you will find yourself overlooking the Summit Lodge with views of Howe Sound and the Tantalus Mountain Range.
At the top of the ridge there are peek-a-boo view's of Atwell Peak, a dramatic pyramid shaped volcanic peak located at the southern edge of Mount Garibaldi.
Looking northward you will see views of the town of Squamish as well as the Stawamus Chief.
Heading further along the trail you will find some steep scrambles and rope-assisted areas as you zig-zag downwards.
Here you may catch a glimpse of Sky Pilot and Co-Pilot Mountains and Goat Ridge.
