SQUAMISH, BC, NOVEMBER 9, 2023 – The Sea to Sky Gondola is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated holiday event, “Spirit of the Season.” Nestled in the heart of the stunning Coastal Mountains, Sea to Sky Gondola has become a winter wonderland where guests can enjoy a unique and magical holiday experience

Throughout the month of December, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a world of wonder, with activities that include strolling through a festively decorated forest, meeting Santa Claus, indulging in outdoor storytime, and relishing in delightful festive holiday lunches with loved ones. What's more, the experience continues all season long, spanning from December to February 2023, with a diverse range of activities such as sunset/daytime snowshoe tours, exhilarating tubing adventures at the park, Nordic and backcountry skiing in the alpine forest, as well as winter walks along the suspension bridge and various scenic trails.

The Spirit of the Season is held from December 1 - 31, 2023 and includes the following activities:

Decorated Forest Walk -Gather the little ones for a unique outdoor storytime experience amidst the enchanting winter wonderland at the summit. On select dates in December, families can immerse themselves in new and magical holiday stories each week, complemented by complimentary cookies and hot chocolate to cap off this fun seasonal event.

Festive Lunches - Elevate your holiday celebrations with a special meal at the cozy Summit Lodge, situated 885 meters above Howe Sound. Delight in a seasonally inspired menu of locally sourced cuisine, complete with hot beverages, all while taking in the breathtaking winter vistas of snow-clad mountains and the coastal forest.

Outdoor Storytime in Nature - To enhance our storytelling experience, we are inviting families to visit our Summit Plaza for an outdoor story time every Monday leading up to the holidays. Each week we will share a themed story sparking curiosity and imagination for all who attend. Afterwards, enjoy a visit with Santa and warm up with a complimentary hot chocolate and cookie fresh from the kitchen.

Photos with Santa -Step into a winter scene straight out of the North Pole for a memorable photo opportunity with Santa this year. Set within the cozy Summit Lodge against a naturally wintry backdrop, kids of all ages can meet Santa, share their wish lists, and leave with a cherished photo as a keepsake.

Sunset Snowshoe Tour - Experience the beauty of the forest at twilight with a guided sunset snowshoe tour. Visitors can witness the sun fading into the horizon and the stars illuminating the sky as they explore the alpine during this special time of day, with headlamps provided. Weather conditions permitting.
