Working under the direction of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Cleaning Supervisors role is to model the Sea to Sky Gondola’s high standards of cleanliness and sustainability while leading the Team. Our Cleaners move between the Summit lodge and the basecamp, while guests are present, ensuring all areas remain clean and tidy and sanitized.
All team members at Sea to Sky Gondola are expected to abide by and follow company policy, Provincial Health Orders and WorksafeBC requirements regarding Covid-19.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the cleaning of all areas of the operation, including washrooms, floors, tables, and offices.
- Support sustainability goals to reduce waste and energy consumption and encourage employee and guest engagement.
- Advance sustainability goals by supporting the development of effective waste reduction and sorting programs to increase employee and guest engagement.
- Give relevant and consistent coaching and feedback to team members to uphold Sea to Sky Gondola standards.
- Conduct performance management of team members as required.
- Complete regular walkabouts to check standards of cleanliness of different areas.
- Answer guest questions and make conversations with guests while working.
- Create the cleaning team weekly schedule based on labor budgets.
- Ensure outdoor areas are swept often and are kept clean throughout business hours.
- Ensure all exterior and interior garbage and recycling bins are kept clean and empty to minimise attractants for wildlife.
- Support the Food and Beverage Manager in hiring by conducting interviews and completing reference checks.
- Embody our value “safety starts with us” and comply with health and safety regulations, participate in Sea to Sky Gondola’s health and safety program, and report incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Sea to Sky Gondola Occupational Health and Safety Program and the Regulation of WorkSafeBC.
- Train and supervise the Cleaning Team to ensure they have the skills required to upkeep a clean environment.
- Promote sustainability by following recycling and composting procedures.
- Complete ordering and inventory count of all day cleaning needs.
- Communicate regularly with food and beverage supervisors and management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for the cleaning team.
- Perform other duties as requested to support the Logistics Team.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Physically fit with the ability to do physical work for 8 to 10 hours in a row.
- Strong time management skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience leading a team.
- Must be able to build and maintain credibility and relationships with customers (internal and external).
- Must have strong communication skills and lead a team with a mature, friendly and professional attitude.
- Proven ability in managing time is critical; must be able to plan and execute effectively and efficiently.
- Proven track record as a hands-on leader with great communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- Good attention to detail to encourage strong organization and planning skills.
- Safety oriented with the ability and commitment to following all Worksafe procedures.
- Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
